What is “Fibro Fog”?

“Fibro Fog” is a type of cognitive dysfunction reported by many people with Fibromyalgia.  It is also sometimes referred to as “Brain Fog”.  The symptoms include difficulty with concentration, memory deficits, and confusion.  The reason for the changes in brain function with Fibromyalgia is not clearly understood.

It is not uncommon for most people to forget words. But usually when you do, you are able to give a definition or a synonym. With “Fibro Fog”, the word is gone – completely and utterly gone.
