I have Fibromyalgia. I also have Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMA), Pelvic Floor Dysfunction, extreme Anxiety, Depression, Panic attacks, four brain injuries, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Epilepsy, and Borderline bipolar. Doctors don’t know what’s going on with my stomach and they are still trying to figure out why I can’t keep anything down.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia when I was 15 years old, but I was still able to function most of the time. Then in 2012, I had my daughter. Afterwards I had Postpartum preeclampsia. They sent me home and I didn’t notice the symptoms until a day later. When I went into the hospital, I had a minor heart attack. Because I got so sick, I lost my entire fat pad for SMA, so that caused me to throw up a lot.
Two years later I was in a car accident. I was in a coma for 3 weeks. My entire right side was paralyzed, and my whole face was shattered. I should have bled to death before anyone got to me. Afterwards they told my family that I’d either die or be brain dead. Well I learned how to walk, talk, and everything else.
It’s been a very slow process, but every hospital I lived in called me a ‘miracle case‘. I’m lucky to be alive but all the antibiotics caused me to get small intestine bacteria overgrowth. That with all my other issues.
I look back before and think I was so stupid because I thought I couldn’t handle any more pain. The accident made everything 100 times worse and now I’m unable to do much. But I’m here and I get to enjoy my little girl every day.
